Videocon introduced Videocon V1290 in the month of June this year. V1290 is a Dual SIM (GSM+GSM) Music mobile phone with dual stand by mode. The dimensions of this new handset are 100.4 x 44.8 x 14.4mm.This new device is enabled with Large EZI soft Touch Keys. Its memory is expandable up to 2 GB. The 1.5 inch (3.75 cm) device with TFT display screen is offered at a very cheap price. V1290 has a resolution of 128*128 pixels and supports 2G network. The messaging options include SMS and MMS. The Slim and Ergonomic Bar Phone entertains the user with Audio Recorder, 3GP Video Player and MP3 Player with 20 mm speakers.Videocon V1290 provides 16 hours playback on earphones and 5 hours playback on Loudspeaker. The phone is also equipped with Stereo FM radio. There are pre-downloaded games in the mobile. It also contains mobile tracker and LED torch. The data network and connectivity supports GPRS and WAP Browser. The user can have polyphonic ringtone with vibration. There is no GPS / EDGE/ Bluetooth/ Infrared or USB port. The user will miss the camera and internet connectivity. Videocon V1290 operates with a frequency of 900/1800 MHz. The phone book memory can hold 1000 entries and 200+200 SMS. The handset is loaded with standard Li-ion 700 mAH battery. It offers talk time for maximum 210 minutes and standby for maximum 100 hrs.

The cell phone is available in two colors Dual Color Black and Maroon, Dual Color Black and Brown. The sales pack contains Transceiver, Headset, Travel charger, User manual, and Warranty card. This product offers one year warranty to the users. Videocon launched this mobile phone for budget conscious users .Though it has very limited features it can be good option for those in the lower sections. Videocon V1290 is priced around Rs.1, 300/-
