Samsung Wave Price in India


Samsung is making a ‘bada’ (in Hindi means ‘big’) move launching its new model Samsung Wave based on the Bada OS Platform. Bada in Korea mean “Ocean”. Samsung’s bada platform provides its mobile users an access to applications from Samsung Apps. Samsung Apps is an integrated application store which has a whole lot of games, social networking and health and lifestyle applications. The phone also acts as a private secretary where the user can be woken up by an alarm and then given information of his day’s engagements. A nice tool to have for people in these busy days!

Samsung Wave, with a size of 118 * 56 * 10.9 has a resolution of 800*480 and a 3.3” inch Amoled Touch screen Display. It has a 5 Megapixel Camera with LED flash, autofocus and geo-tagging capability. Graphics performance is expected to be much more superior with a 1GHz Processor. Memory capacity could have been better as it has rich multimedia and application store features. Now this is limited to an Internal Memory of 2GB, of course with an expandable MircoSD card slot. Bluetooth and a WiFi facilitate data transfer at a high speed. To summarise the multimedia capabilities, this new model will encompass features like 720p HD Video Recording, a 3.5mm Headphone Jack, and a multi- codec support for DivX Player and MP3/MP4 Player. Samsung Wave also provides support for virtual 5.1 surround sound delivery. This new model is powered by battery with 1500 mAH and the body of the handset is made of aluminium.

With this Samsung plans to bring down the price of Smartphones and thereby hold a higher market share. The price for the Samsung Wave model is Rs. 19000/.

    Guys, in todays time dont just go for the looks it give, I think you should look for the OS too. I have’t heard much of BADA OS so there will be a limited number of apps available for it. For the price I think its unwise to invest in such an OS. I would prefer you go for Android. That will be the best bet. Samsung has a range of mobiles with Android OS and the app library is awesome. I have checked iPhone, Windows Mobile and Android and I must say Android blows them all.
