Motorola launched a fresh and uniquely designed 3.1 inches handset Motorola Backflip.It has the track pad behind the display screen for navigating through the phone. Motorola assumes that this innovative product will bring them big success. The company launched other Android smart phones like the CLIQ and DEVOUR during last 6 months. Motorola Back flip has a reverse clash form factor with impressive design. New smart phone will support 2G and 3G network. Motorola backflip has a dimension of 108 x 53 x 15.3 mm.The weight of the handset is about 133gm.The display type is the TFT touch screen with 256K colors (65K effective).The display screen size is 320*480 pixels. Accelerometer sensor for UI auto-rotate, Reverse flip with QWERTY keyboard, BACKTRACK touch panel, MOTOBLUR UI with Live Widgets, Proximity sensor for auto turn-off are some of the high end characteristics of this new phone. The sound can be in Vibration, MP3 and WAV ring tones mode. Speaker phone is accommodated with stereo speakers and also have 3.5 mm audio jack. The call records and phone book have unlimited entries and fields. The internal memory of the cell phone has 256MB RAM and 512MB ROM. The phone lacks Infrared port, but it is has GPRS/EDGE and Bluetooth with A2DP. Motorola Back flip is also equipped with USB Connections and camera with 5 MP, 2560 x 1920 pixels, auto focus and LED flash. The phone supports messaging channels like SMS, Email, MMS, Push email. It is available in Platinum Silver and has with A-GPS support. Smart phone has a long list of features like digital compass, noise cancellation with dedicated microphone, google maps with Street View, and a multi format video player. As any other smart phone, Motorola backflip supports social networking features like integration to Face book, My Space, Twitter apps, Photo bucket and Picasa.

Battery is composed of Li-Ion 1400 mAh, which offers a talk time of 6 hours and standby for about 315 hours. The user can talk and browse at the same time. There is an Expandable 32 GB memory. The phone is priced around of Rs. 22,990/- in the Indian market.
