Maxx launched a new dual SIM mobile phone Maxx MX2K.This gravity sensor phone was released in July 2010. This TFT screen has a resolution of 240X320 pixels. The dimensions of this new handset are 119.8*56.3*13.8 mm. This bar styled phone supports 262K colors. The operating frequency of MAXX MX2K is dual-band GSM 900/ 1800 MHz .The new device has an inbuilt memory and can store up to1000 contacts. Unlike other models, in this mobile memory cannot be extended with a micro SD card. The messaging options include SMS, MMS but doesn’t support email and push email. Maxx MX2K lacks 3 G network support too. This mobile is not targeted at business users.The dual band GSM mobile is available in single color black. The data access is enabled through multiple channels like Bluetooth, GPRS and WAP. But other common data access modes like Edge/Wi-Fi and infrared port are not available. The USB cable will enable the user to transfer files and photos from PC to mobile. This phone is enriched with entertainment features like MP3 music player, FM radio and polyphonic ringtones, which can attract mainly young consumers anywhere and anytime. The 2 MP camera is powered with video capturing and digital zoom features too, giving a clear picture at every single shot. However this camera does not have autofocus,  geo tagging or face detection capabilities. This java based handset has standard Li-ion 1450 mAh battery. T 9 dictionary, clock, alarm and image organizer/viewer are some of the other features of this cell phone. The standard Maxx MX2K sales pack contains handset, USB cable, user guide, charger, headset and speaker.

Maxx MX2K has common features needed for an average Indian consumer and the Company has offered it at a reasonable rate. Maxx MX2K is available at Rs. 4,200/- in the domestic market.
