The LG Group which was founded in 1947 is South Korea’s third largest conglomerate that produces electronics, chemicals, and telecommunications products. LG group has many subsidiaries like LG Electronics, LG Telecom, Zenith Electronics and LG Chem spread over 80 countries. LG’s innovative new technology and state of the art products have made it the fastest growing electronic and Telecommunication Company around the world.

LG Mobiles are affiliate to the South Korean LG Group, which produces electronic products. They were earlier known as Lucky Gold star. The Gold star brand is still available, but is a lower quality brand than the LG name. LG is one of the most influential company in Indian electronic market.

LG mobiles are known for its design and attractive features. LG is aiming to maintain its market share at 10% for this year and thereby achieving Rs 3000 crore revenue. LG has got the vision of becoming the No 2 player by 2012. It has sold 100.7 million phones in 2008 and thereby captured a 9% share in the mobile market in India in the year 2008. LG initially focused on CDMA phones and now they are on GSM segment as well.
