LG introduced a new cell phone LG GS102,a GSM mobile phone featuring extra-long battery backup and one-touch torch light. It is a bar style phone weighing 65 grams. Its dimensions are 103.5×43.5×12.9 MM. The 1.5 inches phone has a screen resolution of 128 x 128 pixels. GS102 has a TFT LCD with 65K colors. The operating frequency of this new handset constitutes Dual-band GSM 900/ 1800 MHz There is no digital camera or video player. It is not Java based and does not contain browser. The user is however given an option of one game, which is space ball. LG GS102 lacks FM radio and MP3 music player. However the phone comes with options for selecting the regional menu languages such as Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Marathi, Bangla, and Kannada.The phone has good storage capacity that can accommodate 300 contact details and 100 messages. The user can retrieve the calls too. Call registry can hold up to 30 number of calls including missed call, dialed and received calls. Messaging options does not include MMS and Email. It has polyphonic ring tone. The data connectivity lacks GPRS, Bluetooth, EDGE, and Infrared.  This USB enabled network model consists of accessories such as a battery, an adapter, an operational brochure and a warranty card. LG GS102 comes with PIM feature that enables the better work management including scheduling the meeting and work management with Calendar, Scheduler, and memo.

The phone has Li-ion 950 mAH battery. This offers a talk time of 15 hours and standby for about 720 hours. LG GS102 is an inexpensive handset that is designed for the low budget customers and features a classic look and solid body to withstand wear and tear of daily life.LG GS102 is available in a single color black with red. This new cell phone is offered at one year warranty. The handset is priced around Rs.1, 249.
